Synopsis:
The popular idol, DaPeng, reaches the depth of despair in his life because of an accident. In this situation, his girlfriend, CaiJie, chooses to break up with him, while his assistant, ChenLong Dong, and female intimate, Yan Liu, never abandon DaPeng. To regain his successful career, DaPeng signs a film contract in haste. However, DaPeng is faced with fund problems and threatened by the leader of gangdom. In desperation, DaPeng has to employ an unknown actress, XiaoXiao Du, a figurant, Tao Ma, and paparazzi photographer to form a temporary crew, which is responsible for shooting a movie for lots of famous stars, including Chao Deng, JunRu Wu, ZhiWei Zeng and the F4 idol group. Moreover, the shooting method is unprecedented. Based on DaPeng’s innovative method and persistence, he obtains success finally.

This is a film about dreams. It illustrates that when a person loss his advantages and value, he may encounter some difficulties and may even touch the low point in his life. Only those people, who are always on his side to encourage him and help him to overcome the difficulties, are true friends. For instance, in this film, DaPeng wants to restore reputation and complete the childhood dream about being a hero through producing the Pancake Man. But except his friends Yan Liu and ChenLong Dong, all professional team and famous stars are reluctant to cooperate with him because he is not as popular as used to be. Furthermore, There is a large number of famous Chinese actors participated in this film with their real name and some gossips in this film are also occurrence in our real life. These make the film very sincerity. The funny performance of actors, the tragic experience and persistence spirit of the protagonist, the strong wish about fulfilling dreams of roles lived in the bottom of the society, as well as the plot disclosed humanity impress me a lot. In conclusion, this is a creative Chinese movie and it is worth to looking if you are interested.
